Love Notes, Bug Juice, & Smamfa - GG Couture

Today, I will show you three gorgeous polishes I worked with GG Couture to create.

To create your own or purchase from the shop, check out GG Couture nails.

Each of the three polishes had fabulous application and dry time. No need for fishing out glitter!

First, Love Notes. This was inspired by this photo:
I took the photo. Don't steal it.

I layered two coats of Love Notes over a beige base.

Second is Smamfa. This one is named after my younger sister's nickname, created for her. It's her favorite colors and made to match a quilt I created her.

I used two coats of Smamfa over a medium gray base.

I also painted the underside of my nails red.

The third polish was created for my youngest sister, and it shares her nickname, Bug Juice. It is her favorite colors, and again, matches the quilt I made her.

I wore three coats over white.

They all smell divine.

Aren't they fabulous?!

Black Tie Optional in Turquoise & Caicos!

I purchased both of the polishes for my current manicure this week and they've both been on my wishlist for awhile.

I took advantage of my $5.50 CVS reward bucks to buy Essie's Turquoise & Caicos. It is priced at $8.29 at CVS. I also saw it at Walmart for $7.75.

Although I have a few similar colors, they are all just different enough for T & C to be a fantastic addition to my collection. It's a beautiful creamy turquoise, just the right mix of blue and green. It applied perfectly, opaque in only two light coats. (Although looking at it in the sun, I probably could have used another coat.)

My second purchase was Hard Candy's Black Tie Optional. It was love at first sight after seeing swatches by several nail bloggers. It took forever for my neighborhood Walmart to stock the new Hard Candy collection. I was very happy to see this one restocked today, and at just $4.00, I had to take it home with me. I love it just as much on my nails as I did on the various swatches! It features small, medium, & large white and black hex, black bars, and tiny and small black & white rounds.

BTO will look incredible over any color. I paired it with Turquoise & Caicos today and it is every bit as fantastic as I expected! One accent nail (one coat) with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails crystal clear over all.

50 Shades - Different Dimension

I apologize in advance. I'm feeling super exhausted suddenly so I didn't crop or watermark any of the images.

Last night I put on a polish I've had since December and hadn't used yet. It's "50 Shades" by Different Dimension.

Her polishes can be found here:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/DIFFERENTdimension

She is releasing a Pink Floyd collection on May 1st and I MUST WIN THE LOTTERY . Which means I should play the lottery... Because I need them all. Pink Floyd is the bomb.

Anyway... This polish is black, and silver holo, and white glitters if various shapes and sizes in a clear base... That appears to have a very slight shimmer in certain light.

It covers very well in one coat. I used just one coat of it over Sally Hansen - Eel Skin. I added a single black star (from a Baggie of them I have) on the accent nail.

It dries fast. It's a little clumpy sometimes so I had to pay close attention to that and push a few lumps down as it was drying.

To me, it gives kind of an urban grunge feel.

It's inspired by that 50 Shades book series that I have no I interest in reading.

It's unique! Funky! Fun!

Shown in the sun, the shade, the living room, and matte!
