Starkweather Pops - Chirality

I am honored and very excited to be bringing you another set of four reviews! Amanda of Chirality Nail Polish asked me if I would be willing to review the second half of her cereal killer collection!

Of course, I said yes! She was my first sponsored review ever, with the first half of the collection!  So, she was a sweetheart and gifted them to me for my honest review and swatches.

(http://mommiesmanis.blogspot.com/2013/01/chirality-cereal-color-collection_28.html) I have been excited to show these off ever since she emailed me last week! Like the first half of the set, these have quirky names. I'm going to bet when they are listed on the site they will have some epic descriptions like the last ones.

I'm going to do four installments so each gets its own post. Otherwise it would be pretty photo heavy

Up next is Starkweather Pops.

I really like this one.  It's another cereal in milk type polish with chunky golden yellow glitters in multiple shapes and sizes. There's more holo action in this one that again, my camera boycotting capturing. There's also big white hexes in it. I didn't even realize it until I polished one to my nail!

This one went on easier than the others on the third coat, and was opaque at that point. The glitters didn't seem to clump for me and laid nicely.

Somehow I forgot to put on top coat for the photos. Whoopsies!

This one dried well also. I don't know if it's a bit thinner than Gacy Charms maybe and that's why?

This isn't a colored I would lean to automatically, but I LOVE it and wouldn't mind owning the full size some day. And it captured the breakfast feel well, apparently, because after taking these photos I really wanted to eat cereal...

This is a winner, for sure.

Set Fire to the Rain - LynBDesigns

I am truly honored, and very excited to bring you a set of four blog posts in which I will feature four BRAND NEW polishes from LynBDesigns.  These were provided to me for my honest review, and of course, oodles of photos (because I'm a photo addict).

These four neon polishes are part of a larger collection, to be released on May 15, 2013. There are four other polishes that will be part of the collection.

They will be available here:

I was going to put all four polishes into one post, but... I just can't! Or won't...

Second in line is "Set Fire to the Rain."

This is a creamy neon marigold with small, matte, red bar and hex glitter.

Review: This goes on nice and even. There's no fishing for glitter and they disperse fairly evenly and lie flush with the nail. It dries quick.  I used two coats over a bright white base. I read somewhere (on Instagram (I'm @goghgreen by the way)) that if you use a white base, neon colors totally pop.  Yup. It's true.

It looks a but bold and not as neon in the photos, but it's intensely vivid. I am certain it would glow like crazy under a black light, but I haven't owned one of those in years. I kind of want to now, though.

Randomness from Desi

I am clearly the blogging slacker of Mommies' Manis...got to get my polished fingers on this keyboard more often! ;)

Anywho...I don't have a mani to share with y'all today, as my finger are bare. Giving them a little time to soak up some moisture/cuticle oil. (constant color changes wreak havoc on my hands!) But I do have some polish-related pictures for a quick, random little entry.

Cuticle care is important, y'all. And isn't my nail file pretty? It's pink. And it lights up. What?!

I have been stalking regularly checking my local WalMart's Hard Candy section in hopes that they've stocked the new polish line. So far, no luck. The pretty new display sits empty, but the colors shown look amazing! What gives, Wally World? Polishaholics need a fix!!

The empty display. It mocks me. "See all the pretty colors? You can't have them!"

I did purchase a new NYC polish. At $1.97, I don't feel guilty, plus they're pretty amazing for such an affordable line! I'm in spring mode, so I'm leaning towards pastels these days. Loving this sweet yellow!

Lexington Yellow. Darn blurry image.

That's all for now, but stay tuned...I'll share my thoughts about the Zoya Pixie Dust polish at some point during the week!

Nik is seeing dots!

Yesterday, for some reason, I was up way before my boys.

So I did my nails.

NYC - Sidewalkers (my go to gray) with some dots on my accent nail. Hand painted! Sinful Colors - Snow Me White, Unicorn (apparently they are light yellow, who knew?!) and Pull-Over.

I only did one nail because I was shaky from caffeine on an empty stomach!
