First Love - Love, Angeline

This evening, I would like to show you a polish I purchased months ago and had misplaced until very recently!

It, and many others, can be purchased here:
http://loveangeline.bigcartel.com/

First Love is one of the polishes from Love, Angeline's debut collection. On the website, it is described as:

First Love features a medium holo purple hex glitter, tiny silver holo hex, and white matte hearts in a clear polish base.

It's currently sold out, which is a bummer!

This polish is very pretty. I chose to wear it over Revlon - Lily. On my ring finger, I applied two coats of First Love, while I used only one on all other nails.

The chunky glitters definitely sink, so you will want to swirl it around is rest it upside down a while before applying. Otherwise, it goes on easily and dries with an average time. The glitters lie flat. You may have to fish for the hearts.

I love the holographic glitters. I love that it's not a complete glitter bomb but can easily build.

My only "complaint" is that my bottle wasn't really full. It is a mini, but it definitely could have had more polish in it.

Shown below is in the shade, in the sun, in the house, glossy and matte!

Love!

Caty Perry-Winkle - Above the Curve

This polish is a prize I won, from Above the Curve.

This and other polishes found here:
http://abovethecurve.bigcartel.com

From the website:
Caty Perry-winkle is a cream holographic periwinkle polish.

It definitely is a gorgeous periwinkle blue. I LOVE IT. It's nearly the exact shade as Essie - Lapiz of Luxury, which is my favorite Essie polish (I own four).

The holographic... I suppose. It's not as holographic as Adriel, or really any other holographic polish I have seen. I suppose that's what they used to make it, but it comes across as more a shimmer. If you look incredibly close, it does look like its comprised of multiple colors. But if you're thinking you want a typical holographic effect, it's not that.

But actually I love it this way. It's a subtle shimmer in the bright light and it's very soft and classy, in my opinion.

If anyone is looking for gift ideas for me, I need a full size bottle of this. Haha.

My manicure is two coats if ATC Caty Perry-Winkle, with a few Essie - Lapiz of Luxury dots to show you their similarity. This is nearly opaque in one coat, but definitely no issue in two!

Photos are in direct sunlight, evening light, and indoor lightbulb.

Web of Lies - Wanderlust Lacquer

This polish was purchased by me at a reviewer's price.

Today, I will show you "Web of Lies" by Wanderlust Lacquer. This and many more are available at:

http://wanderlustlacquer.storenvy.com

I just went to grab the description from the site and it is not on there! Oh no! I hope that doesn't mean it's gone for good! This polish is the one I was most looking forward to!

Anyway, it's a pretty plum creamy base with tiny black glitters. I was drawn to it immediately because of the simplicity. That, and I haven't personally seen this combo anywhere else!

It applied very well. Smooth, mostly, without top coat. I totally forgot about top coat for photos. Whoops. Good dry time. Great consistency and the glitters dispersed evenly.

I love the rich purple shade. It's dreary here still so I tried to show it outdoors in the sad overcast light, and also under artificial light indoors.

Yup, love this one. I hope she brings it back!

UPDATE: She's trying to figure out the glitter situation with her supplier but hopes to bring this polish back to her shop!

Marguerite - Wanderlust Lacquer

Part two of five. A polish I purchased at a discount to swatch and review.

Marguerite by Wanderlust Lacquer
http://wanderlustlacquer.storenvy.com

From the site:
A Medium purple with medium sized aqua hexes, light purple, and small dark purple hexes.

The description is accurate. I love the shade of purple that this crelly (creamy jelly) base is. It's a bit "dusty" and not bold purple. The glitter combination is fun. The light purple appears a bit mauve to me, but I like it!

It goes on well. Two coats were opaque. It dried fairly quickly I think. The glitters lay smooth and I didn't have to fish for them!

My only complaint was that this mini bottle wasn't full. It was probably 3/5 full when I got it. One of the others from my set of 5 was the same, not full. In trying not to be too bummed out because I did get a discount, but still. I like the polish (and the other not full was the one I am most looking forward to) and will wear it again, so it's just sad that I won't get the full mini experience.

Edit: problem solved. Annie is very sweet and apologized sincerely for the bottle mishap.

The sky is getting even darker than this morning and its cold and drizzly out so these were also taken in the natural light of my kitchen.

Easter Manicure featuring "Nice is Nice" by Essie

Essie is one of my favorite nail polish brands. Possibly my absolute favorite, actually. I decided on their beautiful, light, spring-like lavender called "Nice is Nice" for Easter. (That first "Nice" is pronounced like "niece", as in the city in France.) It goes on smoothly but you'll need 2-3 coats for good, opaque coverage. As far as I can tell online, it's a discontinued color, which is a bummer. I'll definitely need to search ebay or amazon for a spare...

On to the photos. All pre-cleanup...
