Sea Breeze - Wanderlust Lacquer

This is the fifth and final polish I purchased for review from Wanderlust Lacquers. It, and many more, can be purchased at:

On the site, Sea Breeze is offered as a mini for $3.50 and described as:
A fun blue jelly with small dark blue squares and aqua hex.

The formula seemed a little thin to me. I decided to try it with no undies which I usually don't do. It builds well, goes on smooth, dries at a decent to quick rate, and is close to opaque in four thin coats. Glitters come out easily and spread evenly with no manipulation really needed.

My photos show the four thin coats and a layer of clear top coat.

I like how the blue, when built in the four layers, was a muted cobalt. For some reason, I don't really know why, the photos make me think of blue animal print. I might be tired...

The aqua hexes are metallic so they catch the light and sparkle. It's another very dreary day, so I show it below in overcast natural light and under the wall sconce in my living room.

Overall, very pretty! I would later it over a pale gray or silver next time to hide the visible nail line.

Unicorn Disco -Wanderlust Lacquer

This is another review of a posh I purchased at a discount to review.

This polish is packed full of glitter, you might say.

It's called "Unicorn Disco" and it's by Wanderlust Lacquer. It and many others are available here:

There's no real description of it on the site... But I would say it is a lavender and silver, holographic, small hex glitter bomb. She writes it is a glitter topper that can be opaque in three coats.

Well, I tell you what: it was opaque for me in two!

Now, I will admit I don't usually pick out glitter bomb type nail polishes for myself, but I decided I should branch out of the Ol comfort zone and so I purchased this one with the other four.

I've been a bit hesitant to use it though. I first couldn't decide what base color to use. I thought about a lilac, but I just didn't know.

I finally just decided I would be "brave" and use it alone.

I was happy to see that as I applied the first coat, it went on very fluidly. I didn't really know what to expect, but for the most part, it was very even coverage! I took a photo of it to show.

After the second coat, I decided my manicure was complete... Well, ready for topcoat. Though, honestly, the glitter, even though loaded and two coats, was actually pretty smooth, not catchy or anything. For good measure though, I used top coat. There are the tiniest "naked" parts on the nail that I only noticed with macro shots. I consider that, so far as glitter goes, to be opaque.

I'm a little nervous to take it off.... but will probably use the foil method and not fret too badly.

Dried quick!

It's very glitzy. The holo is quite noticeable in any light source but as shiny as the glitters are individually, it was hard to capture on camera. I tried indoors and outdoors as well.

Thoughts?

Web of Lies - Wanderlust Lacquer

I just went to grab the description from the site and it is not on there! Oh no! I hope that doesn't mean it's gone for good! This polish is the one I was most looking forward to!

Anyway, it's a pretty plum creamy base with tiny black glitters. I was drawn to it immediately because of the simplicity. That, and I haven't personally seen this combo anywhere else!

It applied very well. Smooth, mostly, without top coat. I totally forgot about top coat for photos. Whoops. Good dry time. Great consistency and the glitters dispersed evenly.

I love the rich purple shade. It's dreary here still so I tried to show it outdoors in the sad overcast light, and also under artificial light indoors.

Yup, love this one. I hope she brings it back!

UPDATE: She's trying to figure out the glitter situation with her supplier but hopes to bring this polish back to her shop!

Marguerite - Wanderlust Lacquer

A Medium purple with medium sized aqua hexes, light purple, and small dark purple hexes.

The description is accurate. I love the shade of purple that this crelly (creamy jelly) base is. It's a bit "dusty" and not bold purple. The glitter combination is fun. The light purple appears a bit mauve to me, but I like it!

It goes on well. Two coats were opaque. It dried fairly quickly I think. The glitters lay smooth and I didn't have to fish for them!

My only complaint was that this mini bottle wasn't full. It was probably 3/5 full when I got it. One of the others from my set of 5 was the same, not full. In trying not to be too bummed out because I did get a discount, but still. I like the polish (and the other not full was the one I am most looking forward to) and will wear it again, so it's just sad that I won't get the full mini experience.

Edit: problem solved. Annie is very sweet and apologized sincerely for the bottle mishap.

The sky is getting even darker than this morning and its cold and drizzly out so these were also taken in the natural light of my kitchen.

Anna Banana - Wanderlust Lacquer

Today, I will show you a polish by a pretty new indie line- Wanderlust Lacquer. I actually will have five polish posts over the next few days. I was given the opportunity to purchase these at a discount to swatch and review.

My first review is for "Anna Banana."

From the site:
A light pink polish with holographic glitter, small pink hexes and larger blue. A perfect addition to your spring outfit.

There appears to be some purple also? And I would say the holographic glitters are of the shred variety. I would call the base actually a medium/candy pink jelly. It's darker than light pink, in my opinion. My swatches below are in the natural light in my kitchen because its drizzling outside.

The jelly base is kind of thin, so I used a nude undies for the swatches. Because it is so thin, the glitter really sinks to the bottom, so you will want to let it sit upside down a while before using it.

That said, it applies well. It dries in a normal time frame, not fast, not slow. I used one thin coat and one thick coat here.

The glitters you have to fish for a little if you haven't set it upside down first, at least in this bottle, but they lie flat and I kind of like that they are a bit more sparse. It's really fun.

I like the way this polish looks on me, and pink is not my favorite color!
